About Me

CGI is a topic that I have a crazy amount of enthusiasm for, whether it’s the incredibly efficient world of gaming or the photo realistic world of post. They both have their challenges and fundamentals.
Since acquiring the skills in both disciplines, I found that one has aided the other to open up a whole new area of creativity and possibilities. This has only reinforced what I have always believed, which is to learn as much as you can about the different disciplines that make up your industry. I count myself as a determined individual who is willing to learn and my competitive edge just makes me work harder. All in all, taking my creative flare and mixing it with my geek like curiosity for technology makes me ambitious with my visions and determined to get the highest quality work out to the masses. |
Where It All Began

My experience with VFX started when I began studying an undergraduate in Multimedia Technology and Design at the University of Kent. Although this was a very vague course which covered a broad number of subjects, a module in 3D landscapes where I was asked to recreate a scene from WoW touched on something which tickled my taste buds.
After that I was quick to sign up to a Masters in Digital Visual Effects which then gave me the time to flood my brain with the know how. Here I grew very passionate about VFX and realised it’s the one art form that can make anything possible. As long as you teach yourself the knowledge anything can be achieved. In actual fact I have to say that my real geek like affection for post and CGI started with the days of Terminator 2 and the T-1000 (a lovely childhood filled with cyborgs and actions, those were the good days!). |
